Dear Anderson Swim Club Partner:

On January 14, 2011 the City of Anderson announced the closing of Sheppard Swim Center, the last public pool facility in Anderson County. With this decision, scores of residents using the pool for rehabilitation, competition, and education were tossed out into the street.

In an effort to save the facility, the Anderson Swim Club Booster Club has signed a lease with Anderson School District 5, which currently owns the property. The rent will be equal to the operating costs.

We need your help. Our current dues will cover only half of the necessary expenses. The remainder will need to come from the community - fundraisers, private donations, and corporate sponsorships. If you are interested in helping us to preserve two 30 year old Anderson traditions – the Anderson Swim Club and Sheppard Swim Center – please consider either a sponsorship or donation.

Enclosed is the benefits package of various sponsorship/donations levels together with an application. Anyone interested in making a 501(c) 3 donation to the club can do so by simply mailing a check made out to the Foothills Community Foundation with ASCBC/SWIM ANDERSON FUND in the memo line to:
