What: Anderson Swim Club is offering American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim
Sessions: Feb 6- Mar 1, Mar 5-29, Ap r9-May 3 and May 7-31
Dates and Times: Mon&Wed 6:00pm-6:45pm or Tue&Thu 6:00pm-6:45pm
Who:Pre-school (ages from 3-5) and Youth Learn-to-Swim (ages 6 and up)

Dear Anderson Swim Club Partner:
On January 14, 2011 the City of Anderson announced the closing of Sheppard Swim Center, the last public pool facility in Anderson County. With this decision, scores of residents using the pool for rehabilitation, competition, and education were tossed out into the street.
In an effort to save the facility, the Anderson Swim Club Booster Club has signed a lease with Anderson School District 5, which currently owns the property. The rent will be equal to the operating costs.
We need your help. Our current dues will cover only half of the necessary expenses. The remainder will need to come from the community - fundraisers, private donations, and corporate sponsorships. If you are interested in helping us to preserve two 30 year old Anderson traditions – the Anderson Swim Club and Sheppard Swim Center – please consider either a sponsorship or donation.
Enclosed is the benefits package of various sponsorship/donations levels together with an application. Anyone interested in making a 501(c) 3 donation to the club can do so by simply mailing a check made out to the Foothills Community Foundation with ASCBC/SWIM ANDERSON FUND in the memo line to:

Senior Elite and Charger Groups have closed practices. Please do not disturb Coaching Staff while practice is in session.

Friday January 27 - Saturday January 28: No Practice for all groups due to meet
Thursday February 9 - Saturday February 11: No Practice for all groups due to meet

Who: For Adults aged 18 & Up.
Fees: $50 per month for adults; $40 per month for senior adults (age 62+); $20 per month for Saturdays only.

Format: Prelim/Final

2012 SCS State Championship Qualifier (posted 01/09/12)
Who: Open to All ASC Swimmers - Swimmers may not enter events in which they already have state cuts.
Swimmers will be governed by the standard in their age group as of the South Carolina Short Course State Championships. See State Qualifying standard times here.
Where: Middle Tyger YMCA - 720 Shoals Rd., Duncan SC
When: January 27-29, 2012
Format: Timed Finals
Fees: $3.00/event (5 maximum events/day) + $18.00 surcharge fees/swimmer ($9.00 pool fee + $2.00 SCLSC Travel/Program fee + $2.00 Sports Development fee + $5.00 ASC fee)
Awards:.Ribbons will be awarded to the Top 8 individual finishers by age groups: 8&Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and Senior. First time State Champ Qualifiers will receive a State Champ qualifier t-shirt after the meet.
Deadline: Friday January 13, 2012
